Many people are facing problem with Nvidia latest drivers, Users usually asked here about their problems. NoobsLab is not Nvidia driver developer at all but NoobsLab can do some favor of users. NoobsLab decided to provide some previous Nvidia drivers versions with easy installation. As you know Nvidia is popular brand in market but it can't provide compatible drivers for Linux. NoobsLab collected all drivers from launchpad archives. As I know following drivers doesn't not support Nvidia optimus Technology, For Nvidia Optimus check here. ubuntu-x-swat/x-updatesonly provide latest drivers so it will be helpful for those users who got working old drivers.

Be-careful about these drivers
To install Nvidia Cuda 295.41 Drivers on Ubuntu 12.10/12.04/11.10/Linux Mint 13/12 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
- sudo apt-get install freeglut3-dev build-essential libx11-dev libxmu-dev libxi-dev libgl1-mesa-glx libglu1-mesa libglu1-mesa-dev
Now Enter following command to open file in text editor:
- sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
Now add following lines to the end of the file:
blacklist amd76x_edac
blacklist vga16fb
blacklist nouveau
blacklist rivafb
blacklist nvidiafb
blacklist rivatv
Now enter following command to remove your nvidia drivers (If you don't have just skip this command)
- sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia*
Now when your Ubuntu start
->Press Ctrl+Alt+F1 at login screen (you don't need to login), Now log in in text mode.
Enter following command to stop service:
- sudo service lightdm stop
Now start installation:
>> For 32bit - i386
- wget -O nvidia-cuda-32.run http://dl.dropbox.com/u/87852128/NoobsLab.com/Nvidia/dev-cuda/devdriver_4.2_linux_32_295.41.run
- chmod +x nvidia-cuda-32.run

8: Nvidia Latest Drivers for Ubuntu 12.04/11.10/11.04/10.04/Mint 13/12/11/9
These drivers are available by ubuntu-x-swat team, Their drivers are up-to-date and support new GPU's. Following commands will install most latest version of Nvidia drivers for Ubuntu/Mint.
To install Nvidia Latest Drivers in Ubuntu/Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
- sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
9: Nvidia Bumblebee Drivers for Ubuntu 12.04/11.10/11.04/10.04/Mint 13/12/11/10/9
Bumblebee claims their drivers support to Nvidia Optimus Technology. They also claims these are stable drivers for Nvidia optimus technology.
To install Bumblebee Latest Drivers in Ubuntu/Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bumblebee/stable
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install bumblebee bumblebee-nvidia
10: Uninstallation of Nvidia Drivers
If your OS is messed up with drivers then I have solution for you. You can fix with following instructions:
1-> Boot into recovery mode
If you don't have recovery option just hold "Shift" before boot and choose recovery option
2-> Now in following menu choose "netroot"
3-> Now uninstall nvidia drivers
- sudo apt-get remove nvidia*
or if you installed bumblebee
- sudo apt-get remove bumblebee
4-> Now remove xorg configuration:
- sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf
5-> Now Reinstall the Mesa package for GL:
- sudo apt-get --reinstall install libgl1-mesa-glx
6-> Now reboot
